I mean at the management level. Leiweke will put all his puppets into place, using the failures under Nonis as his excuse.

He just signed nonis to 5 years

Nonis won't be going anywhere

Why not? Name one good thing he's done for the Leafs.

It's true. I do think though RC can be too micro managing, to the point where guys lose that loosness. You gotta be a little loosy goosy when you get that puck and have to make a split second decision. One of the reasons I feel this way is they snap it away too quick. It's been a while since I've seen anyone collect the puck, take their time make a nice crips pass, it's all rushed. I'm not saying it's all on RC but i think they might be a little tight right now, and he may be the reason.

I often see Gardiner take way too much time to make that pass. I can almost hear the gears grinding in his head; like he's thinking 'if I do this what will Randy say? what about this or this?'

we're probably going to win this game....

how's that for constructive?

- Pen15

I may get in trouble for this, given my team handle, but...

Seems closer to delusional than constructive to me.

And I'm very sympathetic.

I agree. The one I noticed most in that 1st was Rielly causing an icing when he didn't need to. He was skating through the neutral zone, felt a stick behind him, and just threw it away.

They're doing way to much of that this year....it's like hot potato in the back end.

Well if it keeps going like this, at least we have our first pick....

I wonder could the pendulum have swung too far to the protection mode now. Under Wilson it was way to aggressive, under RC maybe too passive now.

Maybe....but I'm banking on the fact that the Canes have been just as poop in their end...maybe this turns into a barnburner....then it's anyones game.

Yeah, it doesn't have to be an either/or proposition... Could be that the Leafs need a more offensive system, but without completely abandoning defensive responsibility. Not rocket science.

I'm not saying I'm his biggest fan, but management was expecting the team to struggle for a playoff spot. Also losing bolland was a big hit to the leadership, it's no coincidence this team has falling apart since his injury

Goaltending isn't the problem with this team...Doesn't matter who they play at this point...Bernier/Reimer in the short list of good on this team...
