Habs are not far behind, you guys just have a lead for a better draft pick, both teams will be golfing in mid-april

The NHL has become over coached if you ask. Heck pro sports. Over analysed and over complicated. More coaches, more video etc...
- aminnes

You might be on to something. After RW and now this, I would be half willing to see them go with no coach.

It was so good Reimer didn't even move
- jribout

Anyone who's played the game knows 6 inches off the ice blocker side as tight off the post as you can is the best shot. Ask Bobby Orr.

Hey, thanks for your reply...

I take it you're one of those for whom a head coach is more a manager and less an x's and o's guy (not that those two are mutually exclusive or anything)

- Mr_Clean

Pretty much.

Remember how crazy it was when the Blues fired their coach (in the midst of not a terrible season) to grab Hitchcock? It was out of left field.

Man, that was (frank)ing genius. And he's got everybody on that team clicking.

There really aren't any superstars on that roster either. They just became greater than the sum of their parts under Hitch. How does that happen? That's what I'm fascinated by.

I can show you how to get all the gamecentre streams in HD (home or away feeds) with a hack via VLC player if you're interested.
- 1979AD

Appreciate it, I'd be interested....but I'm on the hook for the rest of the season...I'll have to learn for next season.

Yeah, just look at football. I know there have always been associate coaches, but does a (frank)ing CFL team really need 12 coaches on the sideline? Like, really?

Takes some of the spontaneity and creativity out of sport

Is allowing your kid to become a leafs fan a form of child abuse? If it isn't, it probably should be.........

this is great for those of us who could not fcuking understand why Liles wasn't playing.

Carlyle drove away Liles, Grabovski, and MacArthur.

When he was in Anaheim, he drove away Lupul and Gardiner and the team quit on him.

I have a hard time not blaming Carlyle at this point.

I hear they're looking for better defense and more physicality. Gleason has a similar contract - maybe there's something there?
- 1979AD

The Leafs are the only team that would have to sweeten the pot to acquire Gleason (despite him making even more), then sweeten the pot to reverse the trade.
