thing is we dont want him making a trade that helps right now but hurts us for the next 10 years like the toskala trade or the raycroft trade etc. etc. etc.

The turnover started when Wilson was here. Coach and management are on the same page, most of the new players management got, were ok'd by the coach

Holland getting demoted was apparently caused by a rift between Nonis and Carlyle.

Gardiner getting benched in favor of Fraser as your defense gets chewed up has got to sting, too.

Yeah I hear you; I'm glad I'm not the guy that has to make those difficult decisions. I just want to see a change from this miserable slide that's been happening for months now, but not at the expense of a terrible emergency trade. I'm hoping Nonis somehow has a deal on the backburner that he's been contemplating for a while.

Year 5 since Dion has been brought in, this team has had 3 lottery picks, possibly a 4th this year and one maybe completely lucky playoff berth. I do not believe this team would be worse without Phaneuf.
