Calgary was at the cap, and after signing JBo, and Jokinen there was no room for him.

You guys read too much into things. I wasn't bashing Burke. I just mentioned it is harder to make a deal than anyone realizes. Its rare for trades to just happen. Some take over a year before they come about.

Cammy's rumoured attitude issues aside, he is a scoring winger and come trade deadline, those guys tend to be scooped up. He will fetch a much better price than Hemsky because he isn't a pansy. He is also a better pure scorer than Hemsky, and in the last few years, has put up points at a higher pace, and has played more games in the NHL since 2009 than Hemsky has as well.

Nope, there are character guys and guys that lack that quality, but in the end, he puts pucks in the net which help to put wins on the board. He's a competitor, and for a small guy, handles himself ok on the ice.

When you compare relative values, Hemsky is a guy the Oilers couldn't give away, Cammy, even with his attitude has always had value in the NHL.

I'm not saying he likely didn't have his issues when younger. Small guys often project an attitude. It seems to help in the confidence dept.

Being a great person and a great team mate are two different things. I've personally played on teams with guys I couldn't stand to be around after the game. Yet year after year we would play on the same team, sometimes the same line, for one reason...he was a good player, we played well together, and we won--it didn't matter that we didn't really like each other outside of hockey.

So is cammy. Not well liked by many ex team mates....
