I believe there are far better options then Kane at a smaller price tag. I'd trade tanev for Kane but that ain't happening.
I'll take ROR or B Schenn over Kane any day and they could be had far cheaper

Great young player for sure but MacKinnon is more important to the Avs with Duchene, Stastny, ROR & NM down the middle.

I'm good with any of those, Kane is the one who's put 30 up though. ROR is somewhat soft, prefer Schenn or Kane but as I said, I'd take any of.

ROR's contract situation is little tricky though, he can accept his qualifying offer again and be making 6.5 million or something like that on a one year deal again. He has nice leverage because of that if his team wants to negotiate a long-term deal with him, he also doesn't solve the lack of a physical presence problem in the top 6. I'm on board with a Edler-Schenn deal(especially if Gillis could squeeze another asset on top of him), doesn't have great possession numbers but I've watched him play a bit over the last month and I definitely see the upside and current ability.
