Didn't agree with the Sedin's strategy on the powerplay either. That's playing to not lose, not playing to win. Historically a bad strategy for the Canucks.

I fully admit that once we took the lead early the 3rd that I did not expect that we would be able to hold on to it. Great game by Eddie Lack, that save on Backes near the end was ridiculous.

Tanev definitely deserves the praise he's been getting. With roughly a minute left he had a nice block, cleared the puck to the corner out of danger and then "willed" himself to crash by 2 Blues players to get the puck deep and get a change. That's been missing from some of the guys lately. They've been super focused on the angles and not getting out of position but it leads them into curling up in their shell and not pressuring. Once a puck takes a weird bounce or the other team moves it effectively the Canucks come undone.

It was good to see some life near the end of the game and see them actually pull one out.

The way they are made up right now, they will not go far but with a healthy line I think they will surprise a lot of people. At least we have something to cheer for unlike the mighty oil. I think you'll be fine there ... Sens are starting to come on a bit and the leafs have filled a lawsuit against corsi ... I'd be worried about the flames come deadline they could gut their offense a bit which right now seems irrelevant but could cost you in the end
