Edler for Kadri + Franson - Scooby_Doo
Good deal. I would target Lupul or JVR myself |

Still saying Phaneuf >> Hamhuis
Leafs goalie >> Lu
Stastny would not help the Leafs as he's no better than any of their current players. Same as Bozak, but Bozak is cheaper. |

Besides the obvious stats that prove him wrong without question, I guess he has a right to voice his opinion. No matter how inaccurate it is.

Not really to argue but what stats prove Hamhuis is better?? I was surprised by Hamhuis addition to team Canada but he's a excellent skater and they need that on the big ice, Phaneuf I knew wasnt going to make it cause of his skating. |

The common theme is that every time the better player wears Blue and White. Burn has a history of this. If half of what his talent evaluations are were accurate, they'd be defending champs. |

Dion is far to much of a maverick. Way to many risky plays resulting in goals against. |

Past 4 seasons(including this one)
Hammer
18g 80 assists +77 limited pp time plays against other teams/#1 line
Neon
33g 86 assists -6 plays #1 pp minutes and like Hamhuis plays against other teams #1 line
Now give the huge differance in pp opertunity the points are very comparable
Now they both play as the #1 shutdown defender. Those numbers aren't even close.
How again is Dion better then Hamhuis

Goals against per 60 mins is very low for someone who plays shutdown minutes. |

Also speaking NHL-wise, I'll also happily use that extra 2.5 million in cap space elsewhere by taking Hamhuis(unless it's for a Booth/Clarkson ). |

IF you are going to use stats in an argument with Burn, it is only allowed if you let him select the stats and the window of time. Therefore, Stastny is no better than Bozak.
Also, I hear today that Bozak makes Kessel and JVR better. Can you imagine if him and Kunitz were on the same line ? |

Forget the stats who would you want when the game is on the line against the leagues best? Hamhuis was chosen to play for Canada for that reason. |

You also have to factor dion is playing for a team that is perennial near the bottom vs perennial president trophy teams. So doubtful the gap would be that big.

Pretty hard for Dion to play against the best players in the league when they're all on his team |

A differance of over 20+/- per yr and u try to say its the team
Their roles are similar. Shut down d man. While playing for a better team would affect it a bit, you have to admit the differance is staggering and rather pathetic |

Well according to Burn the Leafs have better goaltending, and Gunnarson is better than Hjalmarsson, Bozak is equal to Stastny and so on and so forth. Don't forget Gardiner is worth Del Zotto and a 2015 1st.
How the hell are they near the bottom of the league? |
