Did they mean actual TD's or just points? |

Or we trade Edler for O'Reilly(I like Schenn and Vorecek though)
Really I like that Detroit trade. Even if we have to throw in Hansen to get the 1st
Tatar, Smith, Nyquist and 1st for Hansen and Edler.
Tanev and 2nd for Wheeler.
I think those trades are doable and make us better now and restock the cupboard - Bieksa#3
The Detroit trade instantly make our line up better:
Sedins Burrow
Nyguist Kelser Santorelli
Higgins Tatar Kassian
Sestito Richarhson Archibald
Hammius Bieksa
Garrison Tanev
Smith Stanton
I'd be okay with that line up |

Yeah, there's tons of examples of guys who rip it up in the CHL and it doesn't translate into the NHL so I'd still temper expectations. It would be nice if he even turned out to be a 4th liner for the Canucks since the cost as nothing but a contract spot. - Nucker101
We already have a prime example in our line up:

Especially when we tell Booth to go home for the rest of the season and buy him out at the end of the year.
What a disaster that trade has been. If there were to be an autobiography movie about David Booth it would be directed by Roland Emmerich and produced by Jerry Bruckheimer |

We still get the Super Bowl then fine sacrifices have to be made. |

Moving forward it does add a few nice pieces, but I don't think it helps the team immediately that much.
Tatar and Nyquist are both under 6 foot 180 pounds (according to Hockeydb, which could be a bit out of date).
That lineup would still struggle mightily with the bigger teams.
And I think including Hansen in the deal isn't necessary. |

Chris Kunitz could score 20 playing with Datsyuk and Zetterberg. |

Contracts aside, I still prefer Booth to Samuelsson as players, especially what Samuelsson has become.
Samuelsson wasn't the same player when the trade was made. Slightly out-paced Booth that season, but both have been big disappointments.
Comments I've read from DET fans towards Samuelsson are easily as negative as Canucks fans to Booth.
It's the cap number that hurts with Booth. |

Not when Samuelsson was younger and healthy, he was one of the few guys on the team that could snipe. |

Yeah, but he already wasn't that player when the trade was made. |
