I'd rather have a guy doing it to the other team than having that guy do it to our guys. Not to mention if someone else does it to our guys who is going to step up and make em pay. I know Gudas will but we can't afford to have him off the ice for 5 minute intervals b/c some jackass decided to take a run at Marty or Stammer. He is too important in his top 4 role. Crombeen's place in the lineup is far from set plus his on-ice contributions pretty much suck. This team needs more 4th line grit to have any chance come playoff time and we need a d-man. That's Yzerman's hunting list, do we find a partner is the question - uf1910 Ruutu has been injured a lot the past couple of years his gritty play and grittier play has come back to haunt him so yes we will need some more size and grit but no to Ruutu he tries to take people off the ice too often - not a player you want on your team. Look again plenty of teams won't make it and have rentals available. Edited I don't think Desmond Tutu plays hockey. |

It doesn't have to be Ruutu. By no means is he a must-have. But a Ruutu type of player (or Steve Ott who I have mentioned before) are just examples of the type of player the Bolts need. I love Pyatt's heart, I love the fact Crombeen will drop with anyone, and Malone is a heart and soul guy, but none of them are truly effective at what the Bolts are going to need come playoff time. Our 4th line is ineffective at puck possession and banging bodies (either too small (Pyatt), too slow (Malone), or stone hands (Crombeen)...and come playoff time we will need the 4th line to come out and cycle the puck in the offensive zone and bang some bodies into the boards to help wear down the other team. That's what I've been arguing moreso than making a case for Ruutu, we need a Ruutu/Ott type of player if not 2

Interestingly enough, Malone has been one of the Lightning's best possession players this season from a numbers perspective. I agree with your overarching point, though. |

has Killorn been playing centre?
and how expendable is he considered? (with stamkos, fillpula, johnson, thomson in TB and namestnikov-paquette in the system) |

hes a versatile forward used at both positions, played on top line ith stammer and marty before stammer went down and was making rediculous results with the top line, they were flying
most likely returns to top line LW when stammer returns unless palat stays up there, but palat and johnsons chemistry cannot be undervalued
killorn is definately not expendable, means a lot to us |

He is considered one of the core going forward. As I said at the beginning of the season, he's a guy thats good for 20 goals, 50ish points and will all-out hustle every game while providing excellent defensive zone coverage. Great (young) two-way forwards like him are very hard to come by. |

no, because we weren't even suppose to make playoffs this year, if we do that's great, it gives our young guys the more experience
no trades, nothing. playoffs we will play with what we have..they need experience and its just a bonus theyre getting so much of it their 1st year cause most are excelling - RileyB77
It's like arty said yzerman does not trade high draft picks or prospects so I doubt we see anything big at the deadline! it's never been about getting us to win one season. It's about getting us in the playoffs every season! thats what jeff vinik wants so he can make more cash selling playoff tickets. Getting Stamkos back will be are big player move at the trade deadline. |

He can and has played center when we have had injuries. However, his best position is on the wing |
