It's funny that what it comes to people like Engels, is the whole hijab or turban thing that gets brought up and Quebeckers are bunch of racists because of it, but never the other stuff such as men who refuse to be treated by a woman at the hospital (or the other way around). You know, stuff that matters?

Do you have anglo friends that feel they are oppressed in Montreal?
I have anglo friends and non of them complain about it.

Edit: and I can't believe you're asking me, as I speak french 100% of the time at home and yet, I spend my days in here speaking english

But it's always anecdotal incidents. And then they talk about it in The Gazette for a day and then we never hear about it again.

Once the old guard at the PQ and the old guard on the anglo side of the fence will pass away, language won't be a problem anymore.

It's always old (frank)ing people that keep bringing this up.

I have no problem with a woman working in a daycare wearing a (frank)ing hijab. No problem at all.

The girl who works in payroll at the Montreal office has an awesome accent. I love it. It gives me boners. I spoke with her today. Long live French women. As long as they shave and wear deodorant.
