I think I just got over excited about seeing a Blackhawks trade rumor, I was giddy like a kid who ate too much candy at Halloween, or like TG when he watches Pirri play.

Looking back on this deal with a cooler head there's no way I do it, we give up just way too much. But it was fun to talk about.

not a fan of the deal at that price. I get Bicks being included because of the cap and with his gimpy knees it's not a huge gamble but trading TT within the division (even to a bad team) is a bad idea.

That would be the worst case scenario and is entirely possible. But at this time I have to put my faith in Stan and the Blackhawks organization (who know hockey better than us) that they felt this wasn't the case. We could have realistically asked the same question of Byfuglien after 2010, he turned out ok.

It's not like Bickell was a complete waste before, he had a 17/20 season and last year he was on pace for 15/24. He's scored at a 0.68 PPG pace over the last 3 playoffs and he's been one of our best forwards.

Which makes no sense: what he was doing was just the hard work of getting to the right place, not luckily hitting a couple of 3-pointers or getting a couple of lucky base hits.

If you remember the 23 play-off games, he was always working hard to get in front of the net, stick where it needed to be - working hard to where Toews could get him the puck after it went between Charo's legs.

Why couldn't he continue to do that - unless, now, it's too painful because he knee(s) aren't quite back yet?

I would guess (more hope than belief?) that he gets it back at some point.

But I'm still considering the deal, even with TT.
