Several interesting sides to this and JJ has given us something to debate while our team grinds it out to the Olympics before hopefully turning it back on.
As far as the folks wanting to move Versteeg - please stop. He's played solid since coming back and coming off a serious injury. Sure he's in a bit of a slump right now, but who on this team isn't? And he's not afraid to mix it up as he did the other night in Montreal after no one came to Kane's aid after that hit into the boards...where was Bickell? Not to mention his cap hit is only 2 and change for the next two years due to the deal Stanbow made with Dale.
Can you see a line with Ladd, Shaw and Versteeg... You're only missing Bolland there and Shaw has become the energizer bunny.
I have no doubt TT is extremely gifted. But you have a window to win now. The Habs have 24 Cups, the Wings have 11, the Leafs 13 - isn't that the goal?

I agree about Versteeg, he brings a lot to the team for a minimal cap hit. If you think the slump is bad now, how much worse would it be with Hayes in the line up instead of Versteeg.
Since mid-December Hayes has 1 goal and has played over 10 minutes only twice. |

Not sure if you are aware but they originally were bred to be guard dogs. - Elbows15
Despite what people think because they see how they are groomed for shows...Poodles if trained properly can hunt and retrieve as well as a Lab. Very strong and sturdy dogs, good swimmers.
One of the breeds that can be police dogs as well....the standards. |

If we look at it from a replacement value standpoint:
2C option 1: platoon of Hanzus, Pirri, Kruger, Shaw
2C option 2: TT
3W option 1: Bickell
3W option 2: Ladd
Ladd had 6 points in 19 PO games in 2010. Bickell had 17 in 23 this year. I don't see why this trade is even being contemplated.
