Halak has given up two goals tonight that would cause a serious uproar if CC were in the net for the Hawks. - mohel
I hate LA, but I hate the blues a lot more. This would be a great loss. I thought the Blues hd a little goalie controversey? Even though Halak has a lot of wins, I thought a lot of people were saying elliott has been a lot better. Maybe that is why there ae rumors of the blues wanting a goalie? |

Pretty even game, but the difference is the goalies. Quick has been great tonight. I think both Blues goalies are pretty good, but not great. Of course many say the same about Crow and he won a Cup. |

Maybe it was all that anti-olympics talk? Who doesn't like the olympics? I think he is a commie - tomcat24
Olympics are such a (frank)ing farce. Phony sportsmanship and goodwill at it's finest. Nothing but a two week interruption to my regularly scheduled programming. To quote Daniel Tosh..."I don't know what's more pathetic, the fact that a pot scandal brought down Michael Phelps, or the fact that you looked up to a swimmer in the first place." |

Blues don't possess the puck like the Hawks, more of a burden on the goal tender, weakness is more exposed |

What gets me is people getting so excited about "sports" that they haven't watched or known anything about since the last Olympics four years ago.
"Sports" in quotes because I can't consider ice skating or rhythmic gymnastics or water ballet or any of the other bizarre events to be sports. |

You read too much into it. Its two weeks of well-formed women in tight fitting clothes. What's not to like? |

But they do forecheck like beasts. A decent amount of the time LA has had the puck has been spent trying to get out of their own zone. They've done it, but it often takes a few tries and 4/5 passes to get out. |

People were blaming their goalies last year. They will have a lot of pressure once the playoffs start. Quick is the only goalie they don't question. No doubt he Won LA that Cup. LA is good but their goalie is their best player. With Hawks and Blues they are both so good that the goalie looks like the weak link |

Yeah - now that there aren't any East German women swimmers, you may have a point. |

And they are still stupidly brutal - and brutally stupid.
E.g.: Terrasenko penalty. |

That's me. I like watching something different every now and then. Couldn't watch curling all the time, but I get a kick out of it during the Games. Same with skiing (not the judged stuff).
Is it bad, in your eyes, to be a casual fan of something? |

Yeah a 7-game series against that forecheck we would win but I feel bad for our D |

Yet somehow still get more standing points per game than the Hawks this year. And the Hawks have several times in the past few years done the same maneuver as Tarasenko just did. |
