I suppose this is a trade proposal that seems remotely reasonable on the prospect end: Lodge (3rd round pick in '13) is from Pennsylvania and played with Saad in Saginaw.

Pavelec is just terrible.....

This deal passes the sniff test. Ladd's and Bickell's salaries almost match. The Hawks likely feel TT is a RW in the NHL. Hossa looked like he was 25 last night, and then there's Kane. Good source on this one.

I have to take the other side on this one..

The Jets will be making a few significant changes and most will happen in the summer.

For all intents and purposes the trade would be Ladd for TT...Considering the Hawks would be giving up on Bickell. Plus I don't see the Jets trading their captain who wanted to play in Winnipeg....Which is not the case with a few others there now.

Jets have a lot of holes....Kane, their best players evidently wants out, Buff is the scape goat, they are one line team.

So yes there will be changes and I'm sure they would want TT.....Just can't see the Bickell thing with them and wanting to trade Ladd away.

Not so much a cap issue, but would you give up TT in a deal and would Chevy really want Bickell after watching him all the years in Rockford and here....???

Ladd is probably a 3rd line player here, would he okay a deal to leave where his wife's family is at to play on the 3rd line?

The club I think most likely to make a significant deal, maybe before Olympics is Montreal...I have been hearing rumblings for a few months. But not saying it will involve the Hawks.

They make more fundamental mistakes than any team I have watched this season. All their special teams are bad and there is a lot more wrong there than a goalie.

Not to mention the majority of their goals come form one line basically...

I don't doubt that the Hawks might have asked about Ladd. And I don't doubt that the Jets asked fot TT.

I'm just positive the talks would die right there.

Young , talented rookies that are under cost control are gold in the cap structured NHL. It's what allows you to sign Toews and Kane. It's why Saad wasn't traded. TT is obviously in the Hawks plans.... That he might play top 6 wing or C ( after Paul Goodman works with him...) at minimal value makes him worth 10 Ladds.

This is such an easy deal to turn down it hurts.

I don't think Q knows where to use him. I don't think Versteeg has shown Q he should use him, either. Handzus messes this up, because we're a puck possession team, and when you have someone slowing down the break out, it throws everyone off.
