Can you refresh my memory on how many suspensions Kings players have? I forget. Two right? - Jason_Lewis
I guess the slew foot against Doughty the other night was a class move by the Canucks? Of course, the "Bertuzzi" grab on Muzzin tonight by Stewart at the end of the game was the epitome of class and Sabotnik showed his bravery by wanting to fight Muzzin while he was being locked up first by Tasarenko and them by Stewart. It was just great to see the Kings returning to their true defensive shut-down style of play with great goaltending and a full 60 minute effort. I just wish we could get our power play on track, since its weakness allows other teams to try and sneak in shots knowing that even if they get caught and sent to the box, our power play has little or no chance of making them pay. If we can get that on track by the time the playoffs roll around, then no team will want to play us in a 7 game series.

I know you weren't a very good blogger, but don't you think the crosscheck to Booths face is suspendable? |

Most of us thought Weise would have been suspended for it. SCHIT move. Just further proof it's really anybodies guess what is suspendable and what isn't. Just to add some fuel to the " how many Kings have been suspended ? " argument. |

The problem is not Vancouver, or a perception of toughness. all these conversations start with "Dustin Brown questionable hit on player X". Expect SJ to go after Brown for his illegal Knee on Hertl. - vols94
Never should have been a penalty on Brown, it was a reputation call. HERTL could have been called for a penalty on Brown if you honestly look at it but I see your not objective enough to see through those teal colored glasses. |

The fact you used the word "foul" when talking about a hockey game pretty much negates any legitimate statement you may have made |

Hey Jason, I didn't get to the end of you blog, it was a bit long, but I liked where you are going with it. Teams (or anyone really) shouldn't try and be something they're not, and the Canucks are NOT that type of team. I think you give too much credit to guys like Kassian or Weise as "tough guys", they're not really.
My problem with their two game spazz session, is that it came too late. If they were pissed about Brown bowling over Luongo, they should have taken care of it right there and then. This kind of pre-meditated "toughness" just takes them away from actually playing hockey to win. |

Nothing like a good troll blog.

Nothing like a stupid post, did you actually read the blog? How about the Vancouver posters who say they like and agree with pretty much everything he wrote?
Posts are coming from the San Jose fans crying that their rookie decided to stick his knee out too far and blow it out against Brown's following knee as he was skating by him. It was his fault entirely, Brown doesn't stick his knee out, because the knee that makes contact isn't the knee he's leading with. |

the fact that you have to attack the use of one word vs another shows you have nothing to say about the substance of the post. When are you guys going to get over yourselves? |

It's a point not overlooked. I used to respect the guy, but the cup run changed all that. Sure he's a champian and all... Hope it was worth your reputation... Cuz you are DB more than ever now BRO. Surprised Wilson doesn't have a hit out on him... may be he does. - rugdnit
Oh give it a damn rest already. We kind of needed Stoll for the PLAYOFFS last year when your crap bag goon took his head off.
Cry more, kid. |

Refreshing point of view from a non-canucks fan. The issue is they're so caught up in trying to be more than they are. Canucks have always been a "skill" team, but since the boston series, they're trying to be a "Grit" team. Biggest example is the Hodgson trade. I like Kassian, a lot, but Hodgson fit the team mould. Horvat will fit the team mould, and shinkaruk should rejuvenate the skill aspect on the team if he can match up with some good line mates.
Teams get better when they stick to the plan. San Jose, LA and Anaheim never strayed away from their intended path, and that's why they're successful. That said, it's much easier for them to lose in those fan bases, because while they have loyal fans, they don't have fans like in Canada who will call for the GM's head if moves aren't made and their team isn't winning. All comes down to pressure, and patience.. and the SoCal teams lack the pressure from media that allows them to patiently stay on track. |
