Probably 2 or so years away - ob18
That's in an ideal situation, with a team committed to developing patiently.
We know the Flyers need puck-movers now, and don't have a lot of cap-space (or assets they're willing to part with) to bring them in. And we sure as heck know they're not patient... Sbisa was thrown to the wolves as an 18-year-old... they couldn't get Pitkanen over fast enough.
Prudence be damned, I feel pretty confident saying that we'll see at least one of Ghost, Morin or Hagg in the lineup next season to start. That's just how they roll. |

Suter didn't want to be there. Nashville would have had to offer a ridiculous amount to retain him.
I don't think Weber wanted to be either. I have a feeling he'd be a Flyer, if they didn't offer sheet him. - PhillySportsGuy
The word last year at that time was shea was stoked about coming to philly. Was excited to play in a hockey crazy town and in sold out games on a nightly basis. Well thats "alledgedly" what he said when he came to town to check it out and sign the OS. Apparently homer and poile are cool again and are back to being fluid trade partners. I just dont see them trading him after everything they sank into him, not to mention the fact he's mentoring seth jones as well. |

I'm sure one of them will be rushed, because they'll find out the cost to land one will be crazy high. |

If they can't sign one -- which they won't be able to, because that market doesn't exist -- and if they can't trade for one, then yeah, I personally believe Ghost will have to be getting physically manhandled every shift for him not to start in the lineup, if he comes out.
I don't think they'll rush Morin or Hagg -- you've already got Morin's skillset in the lineup, and Hagg just seems to be one of those players who it is fairly obvious that rushing won't work. You won't even be able to pretend.
But Ghost...they need what he supposedly is able to do so badly, and they won't get it from anywhere else if they don't pay through the nose |

When's the last time a game had two players on opposite teams score natural hat tricks? |

Fair deal for Mason, and I like the money/term.
Wish they would have waited to see how he continues to play for the rest of the season and possibly the playoffs.
Has slipped to more of an average level of play, but decent deal either way. |

Yeah it's more than the cost. Teams just won't part with top flight Dmen anymore. It's along the same lines as starting LHP in MLB. |

The fact Olli Määttä is thriving on the Pens blueline, while Laughton was non existent in the World Junior tournament is kind of sickening. - PLindbergh31
