An epiphany... I will not blame Eakins anymore. The players are too god damn lazy to play anyway. No matter how dumb or brilliant his game plan may be, we'll never truly know... If this team is actually trying, I fear for their health, and I hope each of them goes to the hospital to get blood tests, because something is definitely wrong with these little twirps.
All that being said, Lowe is still an idiot, and I want him gone... |

I was at the game this afternoon and the crowd sure gave it to Bryz. It was actually pretty funny to hear and watch as bryz egg them on for some of it. |

Me neither, but I do actually (uncharacteristically) side with Gregor on this one. It was a pretty bad game from Petry. |

For the record, the only reason you should get rid of a guy like Justin or Jeff Petry is if have someone better, or you see NO potential in them.
We know the first scenario isn't true, and this summer we have a chance to make an amazing financial choice in locking guys that could become 4-5 million dollar defensemen for 2.5-3 each. |

Yeah, Petry had a rough game, Belov did too. Jultz wasn't spectacular and Ference was decent. Nultz and Marincin held their own. The Oilers really need to throw more pucks at the net every chance they get. |

These guys just need to have that Top pair guy to take the hardest minutes away. Then they can settle into roles they actually have a chance at succeeding at. |

the only d-mans i would keep is petry, j.schultz, and ference. i personally think edm needs to acquire 2-4 d-mans for next season. larsen, belov, n.schultz, grebs, potter all gone. qualify fedun for okc. otherwise, the d-man group can benefit from three veteran d-mans. depending on who they are, i would sign them to 2-4 years each. allow the prospects to stay in junior or minors to develop. marincin being the 7th d-man. |

By the year 2017 we may have Klefbom, Nurse, and Ekblad on D, and Katz junior as our backup goaltender... Did you guys hear how great he is in net? |

He's programmed to see the puck as a sort of currency... The only knock on the kid is that every time he saves the puck, he refuses to give it up (even to his own players and the refs) so there's a hell of a lot of whistles. |

I'm getting sick of watching the Oilers give up on the good players way too soon and sticking with the crap players way too long. |

Who have they given up on too soon? They gave MPS a few chances and then turned him into Perron, which I am glad they did. Dubnyk had multiple chances to be the #1 guy and that didn't work out so well. JDD hasn't succeeded since he left town. Cogs is doing good but is playing less of a roll thnt he did here. Stoll was bound to leave as he has a Hollywood wife. Greene and Brodziak, they would be nice to still be around, I'll give you them. Nash, Brule, Plante, Omark, Peckham, Chorney, Syvret, Vandeveld, Schremp, Reddox, Stortini or JFJ wouldn't make us any better than we are today. |

Brodziak, Gelncross, Greene and Cogliano come to mind.
We tend to hold on to the JFJ's and M.A.Pouliots way too long.
