Wonder what the first line is going to look like. Raffl-G-Read? Or maybe it is finally time to get VL back up there?
Berube has got his work cut out for him. But priority numero uno has got to be to reduce these penalties, especially the prime time Downiesque ones.
Edit: on second thought I don't know if Read does LW. - Bearintheforest
First step is replacing Downie on the 4th line with VdV who is much less likely to take a penalty.
Although, I guess if Jake is out till February then Downie will go the 3rd line and hopefully magically regain his form. |

Wow. Voracek leaves with a hand injury (possible bone bruise/major swelling/etc.) and you all automatically assume it's broken.
Damn. |

The one shot of him going off the ice one of his fingers didn't look so good. Of course all hockey players have gruesome hands right? |

No offense, I've seen enough of VL, has he brought anything to any line?

Quality and rarity. It looks like this one is aged 64 years. |

Looked decent at the start of the season. Any better options out there? |

He's gotta be moved back to center, he isn't a long-term option on the wing. As good as Brayden Schenn has played at center, I still think Vinny should be there. The Flyers seem to have this issue it seems every year: too many centers! |

I didn't want him then, didn't like the contract, he looks lost.
Or still injured |

He is kind of lost... You're asking a top-2 center to play the wing on the 3rd line... He needs to be put back at center. |

Too many centers, yeah, we didn't need him, he can center the 4th line. |

And I don't disagree with what you are saying here, but who else would you like to have on G's wing if Voracek is out? |

And that would make a difference?
This isn't 2005.
Homer always thinks he's getting the same guy several years after they're a star |

It's true. Maybe Read, maybe Simmonds? But I'd keep the Raffl/G connection and put Vinny on the RW. |
