He is kind of lost... You're asking a top-2 center to play the wing on the 3rd line... He needs to be put back at center. - Flyers_V88
At who's expense? Only thing that comes to mind is the 4th line, and that is alot of cap space centering a fourth line.
I am a little reluctant to take Schenn off the centering job on the second line. |

And I don't disagree with what you are saying here, but who else would you like to have on G's wing if Voracek is out? - Bearintheforest
Simmons & Raffl w G
Couts w Downie & Read
Schenn w Hartnell & McGinn
I would do this |

And that would make a difference?
This isn't 2005.
Homer always thinks he's getting the same guy several years after they're a star - puckhead17
No I realize he isn't the huge impact player he once was, but asking a guy who's played center his entire career to start playing the wing is an adjustment... He also isn't getting the looks and time he once had. Vinny isn't a checker or 3rd line guy... You have to use your skilled guys correctly. He isn't a Toews or Tavares or Crosby that can play both ends of the rink or position. |

Nah, you can't. If Voracek is out long-term, Vinny gets that spot on the top line. |

I know he also isn't Vinny anymore.
Again, I hated he & Streit's contracts then & now |

Well, even if you take away the cap aspect his skill set isn't fourth line material.
As for our D and cap: Will be interesting seeing how it looks at the start of next season. |

Even when Raffl doesn't produce he back checks and kills penalties,
Non producing players find ways to do simething else
What else does he do? |

Totally agree!
I'm just confirming that I didn't want him then & I'm not shocked
Every time a past their prime star player is available
Never mind |

The cap going up is his worst enemy
2 one dimensional free agent UFA multi term signings, at a combined age of what?
70 years old? |

Win the majority of your home games, split on the road.
So, to me, this was a successful back-to-back, though you hate to give up the two-goal lead in the third. But it's been obvious that they Islanders overall skill and speed has really been a problem for the the Flyers, so I wasn't surprised. Kyle Okposo was a man possessed the last two games.
The point they did get truly matters, though -- there's a little bit, not a ton, but a little bit of breathing room for them.
Carolina has been a bit of a pain for them, as well; guess we'll see how Steve Mason plays, who might come out of the lineup, tomorrow. |

I remember for the first month of the season, Vinny was our best player.
Then he got hurt.
Was he playing wing in the beginning of the year? |

You know those boys must have a bright future if you can play Matt Carkner in your Top 6 and Eric Boulton and Matt Martin at the same time and still give teams fits |

It'll be OK, if/when he starts scoring goals again -- if Voracek's out for an extended period and he moves up to 1RW, I think he'll score a few |
