still amazes me how the Flyers panic in their own zone. Hartnell with clear control of the puck, no one around him, 3 guys to pass to ... and he just whips it around the glass, hoping for a clear. Of course it goes out of play and we have a faceoff in our zone.

With regard to the icings, there used to be a rule that, if the linesmen deemed it was an intended pass, they could wave it off.

When did they get rid of that? There's been countless times where a pass goes between a guy's legs, goes between his skate and stick, etc. where it was a clear pass attempt, but gets called icing.
