Whatever players they add in the offseason all need to have one thing in common. Speed! - BiggE
speed AND quickness. Their reaction time is horrendous. |

As our good friend AllInFlyers would say, 2016
Will be a rough few years, and kind of a frustrating game but you really do have some great guys in Simmonds/Giroux. - flyer_nutter
Ha! Yeah.
Wow. Hope the world doesn't explode, Krypton-style, before then. Because then I'll really be pissed

well, that sucked a whole lot ...
- FlyerGuy
sure it did. and it's not a surprise. they're definitely trending downward the last couple of weeks.
a lot of the goals they give up are because of mistakes at both ends of the ice, rather than the other team generating a great play on their own. goals 2 and 3 tonight. |

As much as I love Berube.. I really miss the fire and intensity that Lavy brought. Not saying Berube doesnt because im sure he does.
Maybe, I JUST MISS LAVY - justahockeyguy2
I was a big fan of Lavy ... but I do think they're playing much more sound hockey under Berube.
Berube can only do so much with this defense. |

Flyers have just been getting their asses kicked the past 2-3 weeks. Regardless of the play, they rarely dictate the play. Just not a good team |

giroux's entering his prime, or maybe he's in it right now...i just don't want those prime years being wasted on an incomplete team, and that's probably what's going to happen. |

An aggressive fore check has been the best way to beat the Flyers for years now ... and it sure seems that teams are pressing the attack much more in the last couple of weeks than they were earlier in the season.
it's like after January 1st they remembered "oh yeah, so THAT'S how you beat the Flyers"

good point ... as poorly as they've played in the last couple of weeks they're still in the thick of things. Lots of other teams would trade places with the Flyers. |

Ha! You guys promised me that patience would work! You promised!!!
- AllInForFlyers
Haha I just don't want them to be mediocre for years. I hated and laughed at the Leafs when they did that.
Look, as much as a few of us preach patience, even if it will cost some of Giroux's best years, I think the majority of us know its not happening. A deal will be made, and they will try to make a run at it.
Just no more guys on the wrong side of the career, and contracts that no other team would even touch. That's all I ask. |

nobody probably wants it ... but at least they could start making some changes.
Sit Grossmann and get MAB or one of the kids in the lineup, for starters. |

he's been fine. the truth is the team gives up way too many good scoring chances, and too many shots. they're a bad defensive team, simple as that. nothing less than perfection and some luck is going to keep this team under 3 goals a night. it's a lot to ask. - hammarby31
Yeah...the margin for error is just so damn thin with them.
Don't get me wrong: I still think they are good. I really think they are good enough to do damage in the playoffs. But there are moves that they could make that I wish they would try to see if they can get that margin for error a little higher.
For instance, you could play Gus. That doesn't cost you an arm and a leg in trade, or a huge free agent contract for a 33-plus-year-old player.
Gus couldn't be worse than what we got on that third goal, that's for damn sure

Homer's D is old, immobile, makes bad decisions, and can't get a shot off without being blocked. |

I don't know. Anyone watching postgame? Any bets on which player drops "full 60 minutes" first? |
