I think it depends on the player. Semin is someone who has the moves to get around Mez.

Looking at the replay, it looked like Mez dropped a little too far back. He gave Semin too much space. He made it difficult for himself to reach and block the shot.

Flyers cant handle the speed. In particular the D.

Carolina isn't backing off to change as easily and keeping the pressure on the Flyers when they try to move out in transition.

That was a tripping penalty but the team has to start working harder here. 9 shots this far is not acceptable.
