His actual last name is paajarvi-svensson, he shortened it to just paajarvi so it'd actually fit on a jersey |

I can tell you
He stinks, and he is overpaid, hence, a Blues fan is willing to trade him!! - Sabresfan88
Actually, Carlo has done pretty good considering the circumstances. He was signed late and has spent most of his time in the press box. When he has played, he has looked good and also has stayed healthy. |

The Leafs will gladly take Carlo back - Lets say a Steen/Carlo for Stempniak do-over?

Look, I understand all of that.
Buffalo will not trade Miller, unless we get a good return in value.
We will find a team that is willing to give us a fair value for him, that team being the Blues or NOT!! |

Miller has been the Sabres best player and one of, if not, the best goalies in the league all year. What's your point? The Sabres get dog food for Miller? - GilPerreault11
Miller is a very good goaltender. That said;
Miller is also aging. He will be 34 years old. He is a UFA with no guarantee to sign with the team he is traded for. He also has a NTC that he can use to reject a trade too.
Law of Supply and Demand. If there is not much demand in a saturated market, the return is not going to be great.
That is why I posted Halak,MPS,1st for Miller.
I can't think of a better realistic return for Miller.

"Serious" talks! Don't have the time to read through the thread, maybe somebody can fill me in. Did somebody die, get cancer, get charged with a crime? Why are their discussions devoid of levity? |

not even clost to happening - Mentalorgasm5
If I'm GM, I'm asking, just asking about Tarasenko.
You want Miller, I want Tarasenko...
Go ahead, Ryan you are free to negotiate a potential contract
What do I have to add to Miller to get me Tarasenko?
Moulson? Stafford? Ott? Combination? Picks not in the first rd? Prospects, we're loaded
Obviously, there are salary constraints, meaning Roy has to come back, Halak probably also
Sabres need some top level young snipers at the wing
Tarasenko is where I start than come down

That still doesnt help the fact there are a limited number of teams can use him/want him.
He will get a full NTC in his next contract as well. He will then get a chance to nix any trade propsed. |

The bottom line is this the sabres will not trade miller for 3rd or 4th line and 4-7 d man or AHLer and mid tear prospects.
If you want Miller the you need to be prepared to give up at list a 2nd line forward and a 1st round pick and your number 2 or 3 prospect. |

Tarasenko or Schwartz are my starting points if we are discussing Miller especially when Moulson or Ott are added. I can understand the Blues fans not wanting to give up one of these two players but break it down. Miller and Halak both FA's to be. Miller is better than Halak or there wouldn't be talk of the Blues wanting him. Moulson is a free agent to be goal scorer. Blues need to score. Yes giving up one of those two young players hurt but a deep run if not winning it all would be worth it.

I dont see why not. It is only 550K. UFA after this season. - ImThatGuy
The only issue could the max professional contract number. I have no idea where Buffalo sits on that number.
Like you said a couple of years ago, the market would have been a lot better. |

It is funny how all the people in here that are opposed to these ideas are all Sabres opponents fans in our division, and mostly not the Blues fans!
Go figure! |

I'm not expecting to make a killing on a Miller trade either. I see a 1st and solid prospect better than Johan Larsson I hope. |
