If I'm GM, I'm asking, just asking about Tarasenko.
You want Miller, I want Tarasenko... - doctordizzle
You'd be crazy not to ask. I would too. Army just would be crazy to accept,

i was confused by that as well. we will take tuevo from you though you can keep crawford though... just buy him out this summer - IndianaSabresFan
The salaries have to work. No point in bringing in Miller if Crawford is still going to be here. |

Blues have the upper hand in this trade, it will be halak, our 1st or edm's 2nd (they should basically be the same) and a mid level prospect, we don't have to make a trade, but buffalo does if they don't think miller will resign with them after this season - .....
That is just not true.
Miller could stay with Buffalo. Or at worst case he goes and we are closer to McDavid
The Blues have an all star team with no goalie.
They certainly can't beat the Kings 2-1 and I don't see them getting past any of the other monsters in the West
Miller IS the missing piece.
Rarely do you have such a complete team as the Blues have, with just one piece missing.
Grow some b#alls and grab Miller...
Don't be a Darcy and wh*ck it bc your so enamored when you're facing 5 and out against LA |

I'm pretty sure that the two players on the sabres list is Halak and Tarasenko it does not mean that the sabres will succeed on getting these two players. |

Grigorenko for Pietrangelo straight up.
#1 centers are hard to come by everyone says and Grigorenko is clearly Quebec's #1 cetner - mehetmet
(frank)they must have some wild crack in buffalo...Petriangelo for Grigorenko plus 3 firsts maybe but one for one is (franken) nuts bro |

Definitely don't want or need ott, and it makes no sense to trade tarasenko or schwartz - .....
So what you are saying getting an upgrade in net and a 30 goal scorer for one of Schwartz or Tarasenko makes no sense? Enjoy your first round exit again
Edit: it would make non sense for a team like Buffalo to trade them but for a team that is a top 5 goalie away from being a cup favorite it does make sense to move one of them. It would sting only of you didn't win it all |

that is why i can't see it working.. not only that but think about what it does to the mental state of the goalie you just gave a huge contract to? Buffalo probably wouldn't want any part of that.
I agree he can take things over at times (but not often).. but he is not a night in night out solid tender. he has solid wins numbers because the hawks are a hell of a team, not because he is stealing games. |

Last game: Devils 7 - Blues 1
You might have the upper hand; however, we have Miller!! |

I got the trade scoop right here. You read it here first E10.
To Buffalo A case of Labatt Blue.
To St. Louis A case of Miller Lite.
Done deal its a fair trade. |

You are right sort of. You don't have to make that trade but it's pretty well known the Blues want Miller I wonder why that is.
I still say package Miller and Moulson or Ott and a second for One of Tarasenko or Schwartz and Halak - Stripes77
You are where i would be pushing if i was GM in Buffalo... could even try to extend it to something like this to help make the money work more and entice the blues more...
Miller and Moulson and 2nd
for
Halak and Berglund or Stewart and Tarasenko or Schwartz
Remember, Army has shown he will make talent for talent moves (see johnson/stewart/shattenkirk deal).
I still see a deal if there is one to be made something centering only around Miller, Halak and Berglund or Stewart. Halak can then be flipped to Washington for prospect or pick. |

I wish I believed we were only a goalie upgrade away from a cup and boy do I hope to eat these words, lol.

Buffalo gets the better beer. Always need to win the trade huh? - golfingsince
Dont tell STL that we get the better beer they wouldnt go for it then....... |

What about the Devils being a trade partner with Marty most likely on the last year of his career ? They will be in need of a goalie and The wild doesn't need a goalie in my opinion. |

Alas a reasonable Blues fan. If it was just Miller and only Miller being moved Miller for Stewart and Halak I could live with. It's not ideal for a Sabres point of view but it's fair. If Miller is being moved there is more than a small rebuild here which is by I would want Tarasenko or Schwartz coming back. That's when I would discuss Moulson being included. |

Yes because neither tarasenko or schwartz could put up 30 goals....... |

Many people believe the Blues would be serious contenders with an upgrade in net. Personally I think you would be favorites with Miller in net. With Halak I don't see you getting passed the second round if even out of the first round. The West is so tough |

You obviously don't understand making a move to put you over the hump. As a Sabre fan who watched 4 AHL D suit up in a game 7 conference finals game and who watched our GM sit ideal and do nothing at the trade deadline you should listen and at least think rationally. Yes they could put up 30 but you add veterans for a playoff run |

How good is Halak is he good because he has a good team in front of him or does he steal games or is it a bite of both.
basically what i'm asking could Halak be flipped in to a 1st round pick to a team like the Islander or Oilers 2 teams that need a goalie |

Halak will never get the Oilers 1st rounder. |
