I don't think either of those guys is going to be top pairing. I think the team has several guys who will fall into the 3-7 range. - PhillySportsGuy
yeah, as do i. but i do think this team needs to have the A guy back there instead of a couple b minus type guys. i like morin, but even if he pans out i still think he is too similar to guys that are already on the roster. i know its a dead horse, but you guys need that skater and crisp break out passer |

You and Yakupov. You love him!
I'm not saying on the cheap. Say Miller is worth $7.5 over 4 years and you can get him for $7M over 4 years? Would you rather get him or use that money to get Girardi or a #4 defenseman and top 9 winger. - PhillySportsGuy
id stick with mase at his rate and give that money to girardi, or gulp, matt niskanen if i was homer |

Lecavalier was doing well, until he got his face busted.
Here's my wacky GM suggestion-rumor mongers say Detroit is shopping Bertuzzi. They were interested in Lecavalier this summer, perhaps they agreed to Vinny & Gustafsson for Bertuzzi, Eaves & Quincey.
Eaves was waived, and Quincey has struggled. You're not gonna get a kid like Gardiner for Vinny, but maybe just moving the deal is enough - Jsaquella
That's why I focused on guys that Detroit has waived, is supposedly shopping or unhappy with. - Jsaquella
What, no Stephen Weiss??
I still can't believe that guy has only mustered 4 points in 26-games before mercifully pulling his groin.... $24M down the toilet. |

Predicted Flyers Schedule:
vs. Bruins - Loss
vs. Red Wings - maybe win
@ Ducks - big Loss
@ Kings - Loss
@ Sharks - Loss
vs. Avalanche - Loss
vs. Flames - Should win
vs. Sharks - Loss
vs. Rangers - maybe win
My prediction is that if the Flyers go 2-7 in this span or worse, Homer gets fired or makes a trade. |

Why watch then?
Remember when 75% of people thought they'd go 2-4 in their first gauntlet?
Man they really sucked. Oh yeah that's right, they actually took 11 out of 12 points. |

Because I need something to complain about haha. Honestly though, I know im being pessimistic but so are a lot of other people on this board. I think after that last loss its fair to be a little down on them. And I just fear that this stretch is going to be brutal, given the parings.
If I get my hopes up they will just break them. Im setting the bar reeeeeaaaaal low |

I'm not sure anyone on this board has been more optimistic than me. That being said, I'm also frustrated with their play lately.
However, I'm excited for this trip. This is where we figure just what this team does. And hey- if they take maybe 13 out of 18 points, then it's the Olympic break, and boom. They have their confidence back again. |

I agree that this is where we figure out about this team. Honestly my first prediction was a lowball. I expect them to grind out some wins, but I dont see them going 13 out of 18. I see the most likely result is that they play .500 hockey this trip, essentially lose one win one. I guess right now im a little more pessimistic than you. It might be because I actually went to (and spent my money on) the last columbus game. |

I'll be seeing them in Philly against the Avs in a week and a half. Hopefully I'm better luck than you |

Good luck. I really just should not go to games. They have terrible luck when I go. A year back I calculated my all time record (cannot remember it exactly) and it was extremely poor. Oh well. |
