Vinny I don't mind. Streit scares me a bit. - FlyersGrace
How come? He is not a NHL player right now, and even if he did regain his pre-back injury form, Flyers are at least 3 odd years away, and by that time he would be an anchor. |

Is it me or did the pk go south when Rinaldo went out? |

sorry, must have misread the boxscore - BiggE
They have it wrong, list the last two Bruins goals as even strength, but they came on the Grossmann double minor |

the only good thing that came out of this game for me is it was the first time I got to see a close up of Mason's new mask.
this kind of loss - and the way they've played recently - has me thinking that a GM change can't be too far in the future. |

Huh? Bruins had 3 PPGs, not possible for Couturier to be -4. No minus given on a PPG against - Jsaquella

People cry about Rinaldo but at least he goes all out..At least he throws a hit..At least he goes hard..
Honestly..Right now I would rather have him playing than DV2, VL, Downie , All 6 of the dmen.
Down the line I would rather have Couturier most likely but right now..I think they miss his energy. |

He could've been a -4 if the B's scored shorthanded and he was on the ice. |

That top shelf goal that Bergereon scored - anyone see any flashed of such scoring ability from Coots? I hear him being compared to Bergeron on this board, and he (Couturier) has great instincts, much stronger on the boards this year - but I don't see much evidence of any sniping ability or good hands on him. He rarely beats a man one-on-one, rarely dangles, rarely dekes a goalie (that I recall anyway). This is something that I would think would show up occasionally even with mediocre linemates.
Am I missing something?
Edit: I am especially surprised given his record in the Q |

I'd be willing to move the following players for whatever picks and prospects they can get:
Timonen
Grossmann
Coburn
Meszaros
VL
Read
Hartnell
Downie
Emery
the only reason Streit's not on the list is no one in their right mind would trade for him
Don't sign high priced UFAs in the offseason, instead go with kids. Time for Lauridsen, Alt, Manning, Akeson, McGinn, Cousins and Heeter to get a shot. Best case some of the kids surprise us and the energy they bring is contagious and they make the playoffs. Worst case they struggle badly and get a shot at MacDavid. Either way its better than going forward with this load of monkey crap |

Waiting for the rebuttal that this will only hirt the "kids" because they need another 6 years to play in the minors.

They havent reached the point of an all out fire sale yet.
They need to acquire a top 4 puck mover and build from there. They should be able to do that without blowing up the team. |

Kimmo with a real strange interview.
Paraphrasing: We weren't terrible. They were great. They won a cup, went back to the finals. You guys say we're old and slow. You're wrong. They were better. We need to play better. We lost in every category today. |

That's not me, man -- smoke 'em if you got 'em; what, are we truly terrified of ruining 7th-round pick Oliver Lauridsen's career trajectory, after two-plus seasons with the Phantoms and 24 years old? |

that won't be enough, they need 2 dmen that can play on a top pair and they don't have the assets to land more than one unless they want to cripple their forward corps.
Going into next year Coburn is their top dman and he belongs on the 2nd pair, the rest are 3rd pair guys. Its not gonna get fixed overnight. |

Timo laid it all out in his interview.
Sounded as if his endorsement of the coaching wasn't exactly stellar. |
