I like Laughton a lot as a player but that was one that deserves to be questioned.

Same with Morin, they could have take Zadorov who really could be here now or even Josh Morrissey who wouldn't but could have next year.

I think they win today. I know it sounds crazy.

While the Bruins are certainly tough, and Rask is definitely a high-end goalie, they aren't as fast as some of the other teams we've been dealing with of late.

I think, if we can keep it simple, play team defense, this really is a game the Flyers are suited to play.

And I will admit, I'm not as astute as posters like you or others when it comes to drafting, or seeing how players will be down the road, but it doesn't matter if Laughton was rated a little higher in this round, we had a direct need.

I'm willing to wait on Morin, if they feel he has a higher ceiling than other dmen, so be it, hopefully he's worth the wait. Taking another center (Laughton) when Maata was still on the board is much more troubling IMO.

Yah I know ..it wasn't even guaranteed that Jagr would play in the NHL..it's just easy to look back and complain after seeing how they both turned out..

Is there more behid the scenes here? How is downie the only guy not playing well enough? Can't really figure this one out.

Serious question - does anyone know how many times downie was scratched for the avs or bolts?

Like the switch of Raffl and Hartnell

Not thrilled with the 4th line which basically has no skill or speed. I can understand dressing Rosehill against Boston, but even with his struggles, I'd dress Downie over VDV

Glad to see Gus back in, but I would have been happier with Grossmann, who just took a bad penalty, sitting rather than Mez
