I would as of now. Bennett hasn't stayed healthy long enough to take that spot. Not sure they resign Jokinen but I'd like them to. Offseason will be very interesting. - dbell646
Wonder if we can tell him to resign with Carolina then have them trade him back to us for half his salary? Shero should be able to pull that off. |

Again, who is your source?
I really don't care for your opinion, everyone has one.
Let's talk facts. - bjm1717
Yes he s giving his opinion, but it's common sense... If you have a rookie making minimum salary for 2 more years why would you even consider trading him unless the return was a young player with equal upside potential, say mccinnon ( not happening) or a star player, say evander Kane ( also not happening) . It seems hi opinion is well founded in common sense and the facts |

Ok, what are the facts that suggest Maatta will be traded since you seem to think he will? - PensFan1103
When did I state I think he could be traded? All I am asking for are facts to support the fact that he will not be traded. Which was stated in caps with no evidence to back up the claim.
Let's not mince words. |

This is totally ridiculous ... In that case how do we know that it's a fact that Crosby or Malkin won't be traded ... The answer should be obvious |

Parenteau is a solid player, but at $4M for the next 2 yrs he isn't what the Penguins need. The Pens don't need anymore 1st or 2nd liners; they need 3rd liners and 4th liners.
Of the Bottome-6 the only players i'd like to see back next season are Sutter, Megna and maybe Vitale. The new Cap money should allow Shero to address this area via overpaying a bit for UFA players, but its a glaring weakness at the moment. - s0rcerer1984
I agree with that, you dont need him beyond this season since Dupuis will be back into the fold next season.
There is a lot of good UFA players who can fit your 3rd line without trading away the farm to get them
Stempniak, Boyes, Setoguchi just throwing a few names out there as low cost high reward type players to try and get |

The only person who has facts like that would be Shero since he pulls the strings , all of us here state opinions, no one knows for a FACT that a certain player will or will not be traded. |

So you are going to half-assedly argue the opposite side of it and site that one side has no facts, but you have no facts on your side either? Great argument |

He's going to Edmonton, along with MacKinnon, for Hemsky.
Sorry, had a Cloutier moment. |

Roy just is resting him, 3gm in 4 nights coming back from a knee injury.
Not as exciting now.
Cloutier hates the Avs and thinks our players are inferior to the Oilers, so that makes sense. |

He s making a negative arguement and then asking you to back it up with facts, which is a misnomer philosophically... It's like me saying Santa Claus exists because you can't show evidence that he doesn't ... WRONG! ... If you assert that he exists then show some evidence ... The burden of proof is on you |

Are you trying to say Santa Clause doesn't exist? If so, we're gonna have to meet at the flag pole at 3. |

Well, it is impossible for a player to be as fantastic as Sidney Crosby, and just as impossible for an NHL player to be as bad as John Scott, so I agree there. |

I really don't know Moulson's game that well, but I feel the Pens do need a Steve Ott type player on the 3rd line. They also need another top 6. |

Do you think they'll go after a backup goalie a la Vokoun (someone like him)? Either way, they should be in pretty good shape, although Jokinen could also want a raise if they want to keep him. - jmatchett383
Well EK did mention that the Pens could be interested in Miller.

You know what...that is absolutely crazy, yet, given MAF's last few playoffs, makes so much sense. |

except the fact that the Penguins wouldn't be willing to give up the assets and don't have the cap space for him. |

Well, yes. That's why it would be crazy and insane. But on the other hand, it makes sense (short-term). Or, if they really didn't trust MAF, they could always pull off a real crazy deal and sent MAF back to Buffalo. Which is kinda what would have to happen due to the cap.
Not saying it will happen, but it's certainly possible. |
