I seriously haven't even glanced at his blog in about 2 months. I hope he gets involved in some crazy hotel sex scandal a la Vince Slap Chop. - jmatchett383

I like Tim. He's a nice guy. Very approachable. You should meet him and talk to him. You may still not like what or how he writes but the ire he raises may subside.
He's a newspaper lifer struggling to find his voice in a changing work place. I think his biggest current downfall is trying to embrace the new super stats based look at the NHL and failing to apply it properly in context. He also struggled for awhile in print as he out aged the players in the game. He's a throw back cigar, hard liquor drinking sports reporter who got his best stories when the arena closed and everyone headed out. It's not his world anymore.
Dude died a couple weeks ago. I was never a fan but I had virtually forgotten him but he was the voice of baseball in this town for decades. Never got his day in court. He just went away.

There was no court case, the incidents happen so long ago the statute of limitations was up.

He never really denied anything. He was more just like whatever, I'm going to retire and live in Florida.
What's going on in Norfolk? I'm going to have to endure a 4 day weekend there in a couple weeks. - mayorofangrytown
No idea. I was only at Harper's Ferry once for about 2 hours. Decided to just cruise one day after a trip to Gettysberg. Ended up in Harpers Ferry. Very beautiful.

Something about him just bugs me. I don't know what it is. He may be a very nice guy, but something about his whole package just bugs me.

He seems to cater to the masses too much. He really likes to stir the pot and start poop. Then he wonders why players aren't more willing to speak with the media.
If someone accused me of something like that, I would be so furious. He was more just like 'Ah, whatever. It's not worth the time to fight this." - PhillySportsGuy
I think Deadspin broke the story. I remember him denying a story that he told the reporter he had contemplated suicide when he heard the accusations.

I hear you. He rubs a lot of people the wrong way. You're not alone.

Agreed. This is spot on. Bit too much "Dramadelphia" at times, but Tim is a good guy.

I think that's it. I don't remember, but he was probably loving the whole "Dry Island" thing. He just seems very negative, and it doesn't help that he's very mousy and nasaly.

I read the transcript. He never outright said suicide but he made illusions to it.
