The article that put me over the top was last year when he said we NEEDED to acquire Iginla. This is when the team was struggling and a long shot to make the playoffs.

I lost all respect for him as a journalist. He knows less than most of us about the game. He, also, knows very little about other teams around the league. Theres no way he could give an in depth write up about the other teams like Bill does for every game day blog.

I know Bill probably gets help by asking other journalists, but that's just being a good writer. There is no way Tim does poop like that.

I hate it when 5 o'clock rolls around and everyone but me goes home... most boring part of the day.

I like Tim. He's a nice guy. Very approachable. You should meet him and talk to him. You may still not like what or how he writes but the ire he raises may subside.

He's a newspaper lifer struggling to find his voice in a changing work place. I think his biggest current downfall is trying to embrace the new super stats based look at the NHL and failing to apply it properly in context. He also struggled for awhile in print as he out aged the players in the game. He's a throw back cigar, hard liquor drinking sports reporter who got his best stories when the arena closed and everyone headed out. It's not his world anymore.
