That's for damn sure. I remember when no one could figure out the double 9-game tryout thing, and I was shocked he didn't know.

I still believe that Holmgren's statement was incorrect and that Laughton could have played a second 9 game stint, based on the language in the CBA.

You know, I was thinking about it the other day...and I don't think MJL has ever actually instigated an argument on here. He has a way with words that can offend people (myself included), but for the most part, he just rubs people the wrong way, and then they seek out an argument with him on a daily basis, or at least pick his posts apart/spin his words to draw him into an argument. Again, I understand that he can rub people the wrong way (as can I), but compared to some of the OLD users on here (not any more), he's not too bad.

That's true. Remember, he made the opening night roster, he just didn't dress.

After watching LA and San Jose the other night, I think that we'll have a ton of trouble cracking LA's defense. That might be a brutal game for us to watch.

I hope not..... I live about 90mins away from LA and Im gonna be at the game. Last time I saw the Flyers play the Kings in LA Richards and Carter both had goals for the Flyers and I think even Zherdev potted one. Oh and leaky Leighton was in stellar form as usual.

This is one thing that seemed unfair...he gets under people's skin and basically goads them into posting things they wouldn't normally post and they get banned for it...I bet if you looked at all the bannings on Bill's threads over the years, a large percentage would be as a result of an interaction with MJL...it doesn't help (and it's knid of ironic) that he seems to be quick to report people if he feels like they insulted him or crossed whatever line he felt was crossed.

IMO, this place has been a much nicer place to talk hockey while he's been gone -- apart from the occasional PoliticsBuzz'ing, of course.
