Canes were tired being their 5th game in 7 days, Murray could finally follow the pace? |

Think they are still dissecting the parts they'd like to attack. |

two observations
- Murray looked good out there, and was quite the "cheerleader", always tapping guys on the head or butt after a good play. Looked like he was having fun, and wanted others to have fun as well...that was refreshing to see...
- Beaulieu, for such a good skater, sure gets beat by speed to the outside...too easily, he's gotta work on that...big time! |

I'm not saying Briere deserves this or that, but he doesn't deserve to be criticized for not being given the chance to do more, now that he seems capable of offering more.
Sorry EE, Therrien gave him a chance the past 20 days except for last night. Briere is averaging over 15min of ice time since Jan 8th before last night.
Except for the game against Ottawa on Jan 4th, he's been invisible.

think that's timing/instinct. he's new to the NHL speed and pace and it will take him time to adjust. i think that's a learning curve you have to live with if you want the guy to grow. |

Please elaborate on the hate for Prust...
Also, I feel Gallagher NEVER gets the benefit of the doubt. And I don't know why. He's done nothing other than play hard and clean on everyone of his shifts. Never complains, always competes. - number_23
It may have something to do with the way he crashes the opponent's net.
Just my guess though. |

I know...I'm just saying that was a glaring part of his game that needs work. The Canes new it, and whenever they could, they tried him wide. Other teams will follow suit, so he'll have to work on that.
And I am ready to live with it...and I do hope he stays in the lineup and gets that chance to grow playing with the big-boys*.

I didn't criticize Gallagher.
As for Prust... the refs thinks he embellishes everything, and they don't make calls when he's interfered with, and he doesn't get away with the stuff other players do.
The other night, when he snapped, he was getting a penalty for high sticking someone, which he had no control over because he was blatantly tripped right in front of the ref's eyes.
Anyways, sounds like a bunch of bellyaching. Seems really clear that they don't like him. |

I think there will be at least one between now and the Olympic break. |
|
|
|
Question: Am I the only one who thinks the Habs are going to move Andrei Markov by the trade deadline?.. Are the Habs playing Beaulieu to get he acclimated to NHL so If they do move Markov it will be a smoother transition for Beaulieu?.. The last time the Habs made a bold move like this, I think this they traded Craig Rivet to San Jose for Josh Gorges and a first round pick, that pick ended up being Max Paccioretty.. Is it time for the Habs to cut ties with certain players and give the younger guys a time to shine, Ala Brian Gionta, Rene Bourque, Francis Boullion, Douglas Murray... |
