love the "lol @ Corsi" response to that game. apparently Scrivens single-handedly just disproved the merit of advanced stats. |

Meh, historically, no matter how bad the Habs are, they seem to find a way to win or at least, not look bad against Boston...
Not saying it will be the case tonight, but hey, you never know. |

It's probably because the Bruins are very good playing their game, but when they play the Habs, they try to hurt them. Try to put hits, fights, dirty plays, etc. This gives the Habs a chance to win every time. |

not lately. the rivalry is kind of dormant right now. it peaked in that 7-game series before the Bs won the Cup but since then, it's been pretty much just another game. doesn't seem to be much hate between the teams. just the occasional Claude Julien whining when he has to justify losing to an inferior team.

i think the Bruins will outplay Montreal by a pretty fair margin. nothing in the last month has indicated that Montreal can compete in this type of game. but i expect Price to be on his game and keep it closer than it should be. |

It's either a very tight and exciting game or an utter domination by the Habs or Bruins. Rarely a 3-1 snoozefest. |

...However, it would be difficult to find a rivalry that has been more evenly matched in the NHL. The past nine straight between these teams and 14 of the past 16 games, including the Stanley Cup Playoffs, have been decided by one goal, with five being tied at the end of regulation. The two games in that stretch that weren't decided by one goal each had an empty-net goal scored in the final 30 seconds of regulation to make it a two-goal margin....
