So The Sabres have this goalie who is playin out of his mind right now on the 30th team in the lague standings...no matter what he does the rest of the team can't win it...hold a team to 1 goal...lose...stop 48 shots...lose.
Sounds like the Hawks would be best served getting that lock-down goalie who plays 60 minutes rather than a # 6 D-Man who will play...12 - 15.
Need grit? We have this Captain who never quits, steps-up from his team mates, will score 20 on a tema with absolutely no offensive talent ... oh and plays on the 2nd PP and on the PK.
Sounds like a call to Sabres GM Tim Murray is in order!
We need offensive players, prospects and draft picks ... make a deal. |

I haven't spent much time in there lately. I'm just amazed the Refs are out to get them EVERY night. |

The refs suck. Period. I don't think they are smart enough to actually pick a team. |

...And given the choice you take Versteeg over Frolik.
Issue now is there is no 3rd line...None....and Bickell is 2 steps slows and Handzus looks like he aged a lot since the summer...And as pointed out no viable replacements from Rockford.
Big trip starts on sour note with 5-4 OT loss. Now Brandon Pirri's on a big audition: On The Blackhawks-Fox Chicago:http://bit.ly/MfODRC - Al
Not me! When you're dealing with bottom 6 players you take need over talent. And the Hawks need the speed and defense provided by Frolik over a few more goals Versteeg may get. Plus Frolik plays a safer game. |

Yup. They really should go back to a 1 referee system. If they use a second he should be off the ice with audio contact with the on ice guy. The big problem I have with 2 refs is that nobody seems to be in control of the game. |

Do you think Frolik would be happy sticking with a bottom 6 role? I don't know for sure but I think he wanted more. His agent made some comments to this effect. In Winnipeg Frolik has made the most of his opportunity has has become a top 6 forward. |

Given how well the Jets are playing under their new coach I don't see any major pieces being moved. |

He will forever be addressed as the Savior from this point forward. Seriously, the guy had one half season where he was useful in a Hawk uniform and all of a sudden he is the answer to everything. Am I the only one who remembers how he couldn't score on a breakaway to save his life? |

In Bolland & Frolik Chi let go 2 of it's best penalty killers. Not sure how very smart people make such bad choices. Their monies were given to Bickell & Khabibulan.
How do you give a player 4 years at $4 mil per for 1 good playoff run? That's not good cap management. Bickell isn't worth any where near $4 mil a year. Now Chicago will have to pay for that poor decision. |

Your opinion but Frolik is a 4th line player here and the 4th line is the least concern.
Plus I think the PK would be right about where it is now if Frolik was on the team....Because the others would be the same out there.
Vertseeg is still a top 6 player on many teams and could be here too..
In any regard it was never a choice between the two...Moot point and I was only responding to another comment.
The tell happened right out of training camp here....

Well, except Bolland is injured constantly and didn't play the Pk much. They paid him because he is their only player with size. And both Frolik and Bolland would cost more going forward and we would be female doging about them. |

Plus the PK has sorted itself out Al. Aside from the 1st 20 games, its probably top ten in the league. |
