I would like to see Mayfield get called up. - 2raven2
He looked great tonight.. Physical good out let passes.. Jumped in a rush and scored a nice goal.. Still raw but he is progressing nicely |

Eh...imo, his problem is he thinks too much, and over-thinking paralyzes him. - UIF
On offense that may be somewhat true, but overall Josh lacks intensity. Prior to his draft, scouts questioned if he had the competitive drive to be a legit second line center. I think like his offense, Josh can have games where he's an effective defensive forward and others where he seems afraid to get his hands dirty. I don't think those intensity concerns were far off |

Strome day to day.. Appears to be a bruise.. In good news sound tigers won 3-0. Nilsson, Lee, Halmo and Mayfield all had real strong games - Dan Petriw
Still think Nilsson will be good... probably would have already been better than Poulin by now if he had started a bunch of those games. |

I think most of us would like to sign him before the trade deadline. If he doesn't sign by then, he'll be traded and I doubt he will come back. We have major management issues that scare away FA, imho. |

ouch I thought they would spend more since they are moving to a new arena soon. To get to the cap floor they might have to sign vanek! |

They would. Vanek will be signed to reach the floor. The problem is once the floor is reached that will be it, thus meaning no defense and no goaltending. |

I hope they do sign him, but I have my doubts. I think he will be gone by the trade deadline. |

Can't help but think this teams struggles will have him thinking 'this is the same ol Isles'. When they appeared to be climbing back in to the race, I was feeling good about our chances of signing him, but it likely won't be nearly as hard to leave this team behind as it could of been |

Hey Dan, I know they guy will never be Grabner, Hall or Duchene when it comes to skating, but just judging by the highlights, it looks like Lee's improved in that area...certainly looks far less awkward than he did in the two NHL games he played in last season. Is that the case when you actually watch him play a full game, or no? Think his skating is anywhere near NHL-passable at this point? He seems to have no issues going right to the net either, which would be useful. |

Any Islanders fan should have known to bet the Seahawks today- since we all know that defense beats offense every day of the week. |

left out Grabs, and if Vanek is traded we are probably getting a younger skilled forward (Toffoli would be cool) |

Please Paul Allen buy the Isles before you go back to Seattle and keep them in NY of course. What an owner, GM, and Coach. |

His skating is much improved and it's getting much better. It's encouraging how much it has improved |

Snow needs to unload guys. Just accept that this season is flop.
10 points out of wild. Are 5 teams ahead of us that are within 3 points.
Vanek and amac need to get unloaded. If we going to get vanek, we can still do it in July |

Grabner on the 3rd line is good, he's been much better lately, he's just having a rough season |
