Anaheim would be off the bean to acquire Ryan Miller. Hiller isn't a great goalie by any means but even though he has been struggling of late I don't think the team would pursue Miller unless it meant sending Hiller's expiring contract the other way. Plus, Anaheim has a talented young kid backing Hiller up. Looks like if Hiller walks then Andersen can take the reigns. No point in blocking his path with a contract like Miller's (presuming an extension is taken into account).

At the end of the day, Ryan Miller stays, re-signs with Buffalo, and retires with Buffalo. His price is too steep and Buffalo isn't exactly hoping to deal him either.

To whoever suggested Tim Thomas earlier, that is a much more viable trade candidate for contenders looking to bolster their goal-tending.

Good bottom-six forward. Solid defensively, wins a lot of face-offs, and can chip in from time-to-time offensively. Your typical trade-deadline target for contenders.

I have a question. Oilers for Hainsey? (and no Myers is not getting traded to anyone unless Dipietro becomes available). They Oilers have a need for a 5-6 dman like the Pen's due for a top 2 center. The real thing that bugs me is how is Colorado not in these types of rumors. They have on defense Erik Johnson and... well that's it. Just him. They are in 5th place, they have top 3 cap space available last I checked, they have a decently well rounded offense and a good goalie pairing. They could use a veteran d like Hainsey. Why would the Oilers, in second last place who are probably going to look at moving two are 3 dmen comparable to Hainsey, want one back? I swear Ek, you just throw the Oilers name in randomly, I don't think you actually know what is going on with out team.

Should Colorado decide to field offers for O'Reilly, I think the Sabres would offer Ehrhoff plus a forward, and maybe a draft pick (we have three 2nds)

There would certainly be a bit of a bidding war, but I think Ehrhoff would be the best defenseman they'd be offered, so maybe we'd have a decent shot at getting him
