Should Colorado decide to field offers for O'Reilly, I think the Sabres would offer Ehrhoff plus a forward, and maybe a draft pick (we have three 2nds)

There would certainly be a bit of a bidding war, but I think Ehrhoff would be the best defenseman they'd be offered, so maybe we'd have a decent shot at getting him

Kadri wont be moved unless it brings in a player of his skill, his "ceiling," his age, and his position.

Nobody will do a one-for-one, nobody is going to take Kadri + Clarky for a player of Kadri's age, skill, and position. Leaf's wont deal their first.

If I were a contending team who needed an upgrade in goal I would rather pry Thomas from FLA than overpay for Miller. You could nab Thomas for cheap and he's actually won something in his career.

I read on another site that earlier in the year Anaheim and Buffalo talked Miller and the price was Gibson and a 1st, does it change with Murray now in control, who knows but if that rumor is true then it's possible talks have started again.

So let me see if I got this:
Stamkos is close to returning, Filppula is only day to day, Johnson is second in rookie scoring and Thompson is a damn good 4th liner that can move up if needed. Why the hell do the Lightning need another center?

For the season? Sounds like they're getting to that point. Rightfully so though. They need a rebuild. They're approaching Calgary Flames situation. They are a better team than Calgary was when they finally bit the bullet and started a rebuild, but honestly, they're in a pretty precarious situation. There are a lot of guys there they can't trade and TRULY start to rebuild. Lots of declining untradeable veterans with big contracts on that roster. They're a little bit screwed. In a way, it's a worse situation than Calgary was in.

I saw that, and thought "yeah right", but honestly, toss in a decent player instead of Gagner, and they'd have to think about it. I mean, they're getting a top pick, and maybe Ekblad anyway.

hedman isn't going anywhere, esp for gagner. even with filppula out, i doubt tbl would spend a whole fortune in replacing him. what tbl can use is a veteran playoff experienced goalie to back up bishop if anything goes wrong.

I think there are a ton of players on the Canucks that would benefit other teams. Just b/c the Canucks are playing lime garbage doesn't mean all the players are terrible now. I think everyone not named Sedin has a shot at getting traded, even with most having NTC's. Kesler, Burrows, Edler, and Bieska could all bring back decent returns.

Kesler would get a decent, not spectacular, return. Same with Edler. Certainly not RoR. Bieksa would too. Late first, B level prospect. Burrows is untradeable. Canucks wouuld have to package in picks to convince someone to take him. So like Burrows and a first for an ECHL prospect type deal.
