He should definitely play. He has been a historically bad starter. They should have let him play through it. He adds a dimension this team sorely needs.

Agreed, I'll take a reliable 3rd pairing d-man who will be cheap in salary and not be a defensive liability, who can also skate the puck out of the zone. This is not a bad thing. I don't want to see a revolving door with Mez and Gus when Kimmo returns.

I agree ... this was a very solid overall game for just about every player.

However, the 3rd period really made me happy ... it was very satisfying to see a few pucks hit the back of the net.

Also Mason only saw 22 shots but made some big saves in the game, especially the 3rd , might not look awesome on the stat sheet, but he was good today too.

He makes saves if the team gives him a chance to. The two goals he allowed were A+ scoring chances.

With the financial resources of this team, there is no reason why they shouldn't have more young guys with NHL promise in the pipeline. They've done a better job in the last two years in drafting and finding some free agent gems, but this trend has to continue.

Laughton can play wing. He's done it before and his game can translate to that position. He's a very good two-way player. Those types of players win you playoff games.

they were complimentary/neutral mostly, but whined just as much if not more over noncalls or nonsense as people accuse the flyers feed of, and they don't even tell silly jokes like the flyers feed

I see Raffl in the top 9 next year with probably Downie not resigned at this point. Hall is a very nice cheap piece who does his job and should be retained.
