I rarely comment in other threads, usually only when the Leafs are in town or just played them. If you don't think the Devils should rebuild, perfect, I won't waste my time debating you. I don't know why it's ok to discount the past when it's convenient and not when it doesn't work your way, but many teams can cling to their single cups with ease because of their lack of existence when the leafs were most successful.

I should totally worry about the amount of cups the Devils didnt win while they werent in the league. How can you say that I think its only fair to compare pasts when it works for me when that in itself isnt fair ? can I help that the Devils havent been a team for 100 years ? no so should we count the 70 years that the leafs have on the devils when there was 5 teams that should totally hold a higher standard than winning when there is 30 teams right now that makes sense I mean how could it not be easier to win when there are 29 other teams in the league than when there was 5 that clearly was when it was the most difficult to win...

Read some quotes from Babcock, who does not sound completely convinced Datsyuk is ready. I wouldn't be surprised if he is less than effective tonight. Though Datsyuk at 75% is better than any other option we have.

I played a tournament in Montreal when I was 15 and we went to a Habs game. We decided to cheer for the visitors just to be wieners (think they were playing Philly). Habs won in overtime and I have definitely never been flipped off by so many people in my life. Seemed like everyone in the stadium knew who we were. Crazy atmosphere indeed

Nobody said the refs screwed them out of the game that this thread is about. They played like poop and the result showed it. Fans of all sports/teams mope and complain about referees and missed calls, it is a HUGE part of the culture. But you clearly have a very deep seeded, almost instinctive hatred for the leafs and leaf fans, that you toss about on this site fairly frequently.

If Datsyuk plays anything like he did when he came back from the Cowen elbow, expect him to focus on the defensive side and playmaking. I don't see him risking reinjury by deking four Panthers and forcing the puck through tonight. He'll still had a LOT of skill and puck control to the second/third line though. Expect the Zetterberg and Sheahan lines to be rolled mostly tonight.
