If you want to experience it, just start a lawnmower, put a microphone next to a blender, and slam a hammer against an empty plastic drum really fast.
Then imagine that being 100x worse. And there you have it.
Oh, and, um, I hate the shootout.
Gotta stay on topic. |

Nah! There's some country that if you heard it you would think it's rock and not country. I'm a rock guy, have been all my life. But I can listen to some country. Not much, but some it!

No, it's not. I mean, it's a form of techno. But that's like saying Iron Maiden is a blues band. |

I agree. Anything by Carrie Underwood would be considered country but gets play on non-country stations. I know a lot of country fans who are getting angry because it's becoming more like rock n roll. |

Country has been getting more like rock n roll since the 70s. Check out the steel guitar player who kinda looks like Shero (His name is Ralph Mooney, BTW).

Speaking of music, I don't know if anyone here is a drummer, or into that. But if you are, go on youtube and search for Avery Drummer. He's a 6 year old kid that plays the drums and is amazing. |

Islanders likely to trade MacDonald
After rejecting a four-year, $16 million offer, Islanders defenseman Andrew MacDonald is likely to be moved by the March 5 trade deadline.
The New York Post reported on Thursday that MacDonald turned down the offer, after the Isles moved up from their initial position of $3.5 million, per year.
MacDonald, who is set to become an unrestricted free agent this summer, is believed to be asking for closer to $5 million, annually, on a new four-to-five year contract.
Citing an unnamed league source, the Post claims Islanders GM Garth Snow already has received at least one substantial trade offer for MacDonald, and has turned it down.
The Los Angeles Kings, Detroit Red Wings, Colorado Avalanche, Anaheim Ducks and Boston Bruins are among the teams eyeing MacDonald.

Henrik Sedin's out of the Olympics. Maybe Giroux can channel his inner Forsberg and sneak onto Team Sweden. |

Good on the eyes, cannot stand her music.
I get my country fix by listening to radio out of Texas. 110x better than what gets played on our "country" stations up here. It's probably relative though, maybe if I lived in TX, I'd hate the music. |

Tough times for the Isles. It looked like things were really turning around after making the playoffs, half a season later it looks back to the same. How are you supposed to attract talent when the talent you have won't stay? |

If you had the option of living in Long Island, playing for that horribly mismanaged team, getting paid under market value (in most cases) or playing anywhere else, what would you do? |

I'd say any interest in Vanek would be to drive up the price for others. While adding a scoring winger would be nice, he really isn't the kind of guy the Flyers usually target. |

I thought a move to Brooklyn would really change the atmosphere. I mean they are getting the newest arena... That has to tell you something is still very wrong over there. |

Because as an American Hockey Fan there is an air of arrogance when it comes to Canada and Hockey. Its just annoying to hear and deal with. So unless I have players I want to see win gold.. like Richards and Pronger.. then I would root against them just to have some of that arrogance kept in check a bit. - youarewrong
There is no arrogance at all, they are competitors and the gold medal final in 2010 was a great game, Canada has never slagged the Americans at all. Arrogance is the US Olympic Basketball Team. |
