Nash is a Winger and Staal is a Center. - MJL
if carter can do it, so can staal. staal played some winger last olympics and was fine. |

I know I'm biased, but I think Raffl will have a good tournament and come back with even more confidence. - ravishingone
I tweeted about this, but I'll say it again: If you expected this sort of production out of Michael Raffl this year, you are lying. He's exceeded expectations, but I hope they don't slot him above his talents. |

Which is just weird...
Size? about the same, Carter is faster and just as good a shot, is better defensively and actually kills penalties. Carter deserves to be on this team way more than Nash.
Regardless of Nash playing in more World's because he was part of a garbage team in Columbus. - Yosimar89
i will admit that i have not seen a ton of carter since he has been in LA. he was never someone that scared me too much when he was with the flyers. tons of physical tools, but he was never a player who i was worried when he had the puck. |

neal and malkin are attached at the hip. they work together perfectly. not that it was bad when he was with crosby, as just on talent they were able to string together some nice plays, but it is no where near as fluid. - stayinthefnnet
That, to me, was the thing with Neal that got me. Folks mentioning chemistry with Sid and I knew that Neal played with Geno more. |

If Malkin were Canadian, Neal would have made the team over Carter or Nash. |

Simmonds > Lucic - Yosimar89
i absolutely loathe lucic but i respect the hell out of him. simmonds may be developing his offensive game to the point where he surpasses him in skill, but right now lucic still has the advantage in the category of sheer imposing nature. he is the most balanced blend of size, nasty mauler, and goals i can think of. |

Carter can do what, switch from Center to Wing? Carter has been playing Wing all Season, and when he originally switched to Wing, he needed time to adjust. Many on this very forum said that Carter can't play Wing when he was with Philly. We're seeing it with this Flyers team now, how Lecavalier has needed time to adjust to playing Wing. He's looking better and better by the way. It's a short tournament and they want players playing in the roles and positions they are accustomed to. Not adjusting to a new position.

I believe Berube has handled him very well moving him throughout the line-up. I just see his confidence growing in his shooting ability. I can see him eventually settling on Coots line for the stretch run.

He was slotted as either being Miko Pyorala or an AHL guy.
He belongs. Maybe not in the top 6, but he seems like a handy player to have around. |

Kinda kidding but not really, their numbers are pretty comparable and Simmonds is just finding his game. |

I though way higher of him by what I saw in the beginning of the year.
No question in my mind. We've pretty much seen that he can play on any line. And it sure seems as though where ever he plays, he makes a difference. |
