curious about Kimmo Timonen, whats going on with him. Resign him? Still an effective dman? or could he be deadline bait? |

Probably retires after this year.
I would only bring him back for no more than 3mil, and he'd be off the PP. Not sure he would go for that.
I listen at the deadline, but if the team keeps rolling I'm probably holding onto him. If the team falters before the deadline, he's getting a shot at the cup with someone else. |

I think I am ready to move on. I want to get at least 1 of our young guys in the line-up. |

He was interesting to me for the Avs as a vet presence for the team going forward in the playoff push |

He would be a good addition for the Avs gearing up for the playoffs. He can still log big minutes. He just doesn't have the footspeed he once did and as a result he gets caught and ends up holding guys... a lot. But he seems to get away with it most of the time. |

not a forward as thats our biggest asset right now. It would have to be a combo of a dman, prospect, and draft pick. Maybe Wilson and 1st/2nd? I dunno its a deadline deal so the price is always high for draft picks.
In whatever deal the avs might do, thats the only sort of pieces I would be happy for them moving |

The Flyers will not deal him. They will be on the bubble at the deadline. I don't know if he returns next year and I don't want him back if it costs us a shot at lets say a Niskanen or Girardi |

If the Flyers are out of the playoffs by the TDL then I could see them asking Kimmo if he wants to go play for another team with a shot at the cup.
But with the way things are shaping up in the east the Flyers are likely to still be in the race for a wild card spot, and then he will have to stay.
He has lost a step or two but still can play at a high level and would be of great use to a team in the play offs, certainly.
Next year who knows.
I think he could still play another year on a team that doesn't need to use him for big minutes. |

It's Canada. Just let them have hockey. And Rush. - Just5
But they've already got all the maple syrup, universal healthcare, and a lower drinking age.
Plus they gave us Justin (frank)ing Bieber.
It's on Canada. It's. SO. ON! |

Rush does not suck
However Bieber most certainly does! - BiggE
Rush does suck. They put out a handful of okay songs in the 80s. I see them the same way I see U2. They're a band people in the late 30s/40s use as a way of saying, "See, I'm hip, I like that crazy rock and roll music just like all the kids." |

People tend to listen to the music they liked when they were in that 14 - 25 YO time frame.
So, for me, I still like Springsteen, Pearl Jam, and Nirvana and own way too many flannel shirts. |
