Seriously. When Pronger was there, our defense was awesome. He goes down and all of those guys suddenly suck. It's not their fault they aren't franchise players. Thy are guys every team needs.

Since the 6-1 Boston drubbing, the Flyers have yielded 9 goals in 6 games, 5 of them in 1 game against Anaheim.

They finished 5-1 in that span. The dreaded CA trip included.

Looking ahead the post break is a gauntlet. Every game is a huge game with the standings the way they are. The number of games at the WFC is a bonus but nothing is going to come easy. I am with Sinder on the Olympics. The timing of the break is bad. These guys should be ready to play when they get back. They will need to be ready.

It's time to quit trying to define this team and just enjoy the ride. They're inconsistent and don't look like a serious contender, then the go through the Detroit-California-Colorado-Calgary chamber of horrors and get 10 out of 12 points.

Detroit is struggling, but always tough. LA is having trouble scoring, but still has a damned good team, San Jose is an elite team and the Flyers outplayed them badly. Colorado is another good team, playing well and the Flyers did a good job there as well, and finally the Flames, while not a good team, comes in on a win streak of their own and the Flyers gut out a tough win.

This stretch could have been make or break for them. They gutted it out and got their points, kept pace in the standings and did it against a rough schedule

Good point. This team is a middle of the road team that can win, they need a stud damn in my opinion, right now different guys are taking turns stepping up. Not sure what I would like them to do at the deadline but with solid goaltending continuing they will be a playoff team.
