That could be the case, but it doesn't mean Gus is solely responsible for that. Correlation does not equal causation, especially in a tiny sample size, and when there could be a thousand other variables that go into GA/60 than the play of one guy.

And that's where advanced stats get a bit messy. If you go by his corsi hart qoc, Gus is ranked 1st in overall quality of opponents faced.

Sorry, thought you said SV%. Anyway, the .951SV% of Flyers' goalies when Gus is on the ice is the main contributor to the GAA improvement when he's out there.

Schenn getting 15/16 minutes a night early in the season is getting sheltered. When you're playing nearly 20 minutes a night i don't know how you can say someone is getting sheltered even if he isn't facing the other team's top line, but that's just my opinion.
