Then he's giving up a lot of money. Wouldn't the pens have to suspend him or pay him? - jmatchett383
If he's medically cleared to play, and chooses not to play, then he won't be paid. He could challenge the Medical ruling. But otherwise if he's deemed healthy and chooses not to play again, then the only choice he has is to retire. And he would come off the Cap. |

The biggest negative effect of her presence is that now every woman weather broadcaster in Philadelphia is wearing the same shirts/dresses. It's like a drapey ruched weather uniform. My eyes they do roll. - bodiva88

I mean at times when he keeps his cool he has some value, problem is him keeping that calm for the long haul. - ob18
He was one of the few bright spots last year |

He drew a lot more penalties than he took last year. He illustrated good restraint. |

Kunitz-Crosby-Rinaldo - PhillySportsGuy
Rinaldo scores 50, or Crosbys point totals drop like a rock because every time he touches the puck it's a delayed penalty by Rinaldo. |

I find it hard to believe he would do that. $58 million is a lot of money to just walk away from. |

Side not: the goaltender's surname, which is pronounced Koh-vash (similar to former NHLers Karel Pilar and Stanislav Neckar), was mispronounced throughout the game by the NBC announcers. –Bill Meltzer

AHL All-Stars vs Farjestads... what a great idea.
NHL All-Stars vs KHL All-Stars would be so much more interesting than the typical ASG. |

I could see that turning in to a REAL game. By that I mean competitive like a playoff game. League pride and all.

AHL ASG has been great so far... hitting, quick pace, even game.
Btw, no Phantoms, but our old buddy Tomas Hyka is playing... CSN if you have it. |

Bill,
Not to be negative (more than usual), but I'd be interested in some Flyers WORST lists (top-10 busts, worst UFA signings, trades, etc.). Just a thought, if you have a day without much else going on. - jmatchett383
I agree, I love lists in general and those types of lists tend to be funnier in nature. Pitchfork can and does excel at this (although they are an acquired taste and good in small doses). I would like to read someone who could do that for the Sharp / Ellison trade.
Am glad work will be closed tomorrow and hoping the US gets off to a good start.
Keep up the good work Bill
