Yes that's smart.
The leafs wouldnt miss their 4th highest scoring player this year.
Ya that wouldnt miss his 34pts.
secondary scoring...yup dont need that.
Lets keep Orr instead. - Fakepartofme
Leafs wouldnt miss the soft winger who constantly turns the puck over and makes extremely dumb decisions. |

He's the new MacArthur: he'll go to another team and light it up in the top 6; just won't be a very good team. - gravyface
He's 4th in scoring on the leafs.
And what kind of team are they? |

give him three guesses but the first two dont count - Dozzer
Seriously though, you put Devane and Broll or D'Amigo & Bodie with McClement and you will get a much better fore check and some chip in goals.
3 of those four can drop the gloves, all can hit and skate. |

and if he is just playing third line minutes we have a ton of guys who could replace him on the marlies.
move him out.. either for a piece or to augment the picks and prospects - Dozzer
Id be interested to see what guys we have on the marlies that could put up 34 pts on the leafs. |

Yes. Our captain is a soft winger who constantly turns the puck over and makes dumb decisions. Explains why he has a great plus minus on the Leafs and goes up against top competition. |

Been harping on a fourth line that can be used effectively for a while. Instead Nonis signs both cement heads for two years. |

Orr and McLaren are just as useful as Ranger. And we you may know, Ranger isnt useful. He has a negative affect on this team.
Hilarious. Same people who like Ranger and the same who support Orr and McLaren.
Funny how that lines up eh - jbold
Orr is done.....not usefull at all......pretty much most heavyweights who only fight are useless.
In order to compete...you need speed, grit and toughness on the 4th line....not some big pylons. |

its not just about production fake.. raymond walks for nothing if the leafs dont move him.. guys like him and kuli will cost too much
the leafs will not be able to fit them under the cap so they might as well recoup something for them
also.. quit mocking others opinions.. i wont stand for it. disagree all you want.. but drop the i'm smarter than thou BS.

I don't get how some people support "Face punchers" and say we need them while they
1. Arent fighting
and
2. Cant do anything productive.

Fair point. Wilson only chopped those guys after the wheels fell off though. I don't think it's as cut and dry as "Orr and Rosie went down, Leafs started sucking"
I also agree with the last point. For as much as he sucks at fighting, I think Bodie's play has warranted him a spot on that line and makes one of the two goons expendable. The guy will still drop 'em and I always feel like our 4th line is actually somewhat respectable when he's on it.
I wish we could find a Sean Thornton type for the other spot. Hoping Devane or Broll end up being a player like that, but they are a ways off - TheThrill
yeah.. we're on the same page then
i would love the upgrade.. but not at the expense of toughness. |

Who cares.
He's probably has about 10 pts since then.
But whats the point?
Its not like we havent had our forwards go cold for long stretches. |

He's gone cold from long stretches, but he doesnt contribute anything else to the team besides offense.
He's soft, scared to drive to the net. Always stops, looks for the trailing man and passes to no one.
When he isnt offensive, he's hurting the team |

he isnt worth keeping.. this guy will be looking for 3 to 4 million next year
he has also played himself out of a top 6 role
so just so i am straight.. you want to keep a guy who will give us limited production in a bottom 6 role just because he started the season hot? |

Also, lets be real.
Raymond hurt the Leafs 2nd line with Kadri and Lupul. They were invisible when Raymond was on it. Minute Carlyle put Clarkson/Kule on it, they got hot. |

A) Im not mocking...saying the leafs wont miss a beat, considering how hot/cold our secondary scoring has been.....is a bit foolish.
B) This is hilarious coming from you
C) If we get a return for him, sure...trade him.....but again he hasnt been useless and implying he has.....is simply incorrect. |

and no i ddin't say that either.
