i look at raymond as a short term stock investment.
we bought cheap. made a lil cash.. and now its time to sell before its value drops off again - Dozzer

Im not disagreeing with the bolded.
Only disagreed with the "Leafs wont miss a beat" part. Raymond has been useful and has been a steal at his price.
Sure he's made mistakes....but on this leaf team...that's not a short list. - Fakepartofme
He's been a steal, which makes him attractive to others. We got more than we paid for, but he's not producing as he was early on. Aside from the first month or so he's been below avg. If he's not scoring he's worthless. |

Probably, you praise every single leafs prospect. - Pecafan Fan
I thought Biggs and Gauthier were pretty awful picks... and probably would have gone with someone other than Percy at the time...
but sure.
edit: If you go back, you'll see me saying I wanted the Leafs to pick up Leivo before we drafted him. |

Imagine him with Bolland?
But yea, he hasn't been what I was hoping, either. I saw Tucker Jr. in him.
At least we didn't give up much for him... Hayes is sliding into bust territory. - Feeling Glucky?
I really thought he was going to be that pest of a player, Frenchie warned about it, his line-mates in Portland may have given him his success. |

Exactly what I do in NHL14.
Sign free agents, 2 weeks later, BAM, hello draft picks and prospects. - jbold
i think that we, as leaf fans, arent used to actually having guys in the system capable of stepping into those roles when they open up
its a nice change |

He's extremely useless when he isnt putting up points. So yes, when he goes into those cold stretches, he's pretty damn useless.
With Bolland, Holland and Smith coming back, Raymond for a 2nd rounder is pretty damn sexy at this point. - jbold
I don't know, as they're not contenders, it wouldn't bother me. But I do think it would hurt the team. With bolland back I'd say that brings the leafs to three full solid lines. Either clarkson, bolland, whoever back out and you're not really at three FULL solid lines any more.
The first guy I'd look to move is franson. Don't really know what we would get and in the short term it may hurt, but getting some of the more defensive minded guys on the leafs into NHL games might actually improve the team in the long run. |

No, Brown actually did better without McDavid in the line up. |

I think an argument can be made that with Clarkson, Gleason and Bodie in the lineup we have enough deterrent level toughness that Orr and McLaren are unneeded.
Hard to say, but at the very least McLaren and Orr's contracts are both at or under 925k, so they are irrelevant and fully bury-able in the A. |

I would shake up this team by trading Raymond, Franson and Gardiner.
Bring in some new guys, and swap Gardiner and Franson for stay at home Dmen and a 2 way guy. |

FYI, Brown was putting up points without McDavid. And he continued to when he was out of the lineup.
I'm not even sure they're playing together full time anymore. |

Ross played with 4 1st rounders and a high 2nd in his time there.
McDavid is better than any of them, but that's still a lot of skill around Ross. |

Its almost shocking the swiss manages a single shot with the best defensive pairing in the tournament playing 80% of the time. I've heard that guy Karlsson is a defensive rock. - prock
10 of those shots came from rebounds off Karlsson shots at the Sui net. Yes he shoots that hard. |

all for that. i would like to move kuli too but i see the value of keeping him for the playoff push as well.
he's a tough call.. i think the smart move would be to shop him and if a no brainer deal comes along .. move him.. otherwise hang onto him for the post season |

Brownie is a 4th liner I kinda miss. Can throw them, but he was also quick and physical.
