It has nothing to do with Gillis' stones. People slam Gillis for not making a big trade the past few years. Not many GMs have been able to successfully pull off a big trade recently. And by successfully, I mean one that helped their team, not that big trades haven't happened. I'd rather he didn't make a trade then made one that was a huge risk and screwed the team for years to come.

Just my opinion, and whaddoo I know really, but GMMG should have seen the writing on the wall last spring. He also shouldn't have waited so long to trade Schneider, but I'm happy with what he got there.
The team doesn't and hasn't scored enough for a couple of years, they've never really had a true top six that includes at least five players. Water under the bridge I suppose.
The time for change is now.
