Patrick Sharp was a different story. He was pretty much unknown at the NHL level before the trade.

What's done is done and there is no use crying over spilled milk. However there was a bit of a dig in there, intentional or not, at those that still crap all over that trade. I don't think it is unreasonable to blast an organization for making a bad trade. You always here commentators say, especially with a questionable trade at the time or with young players, to wait a few years to see who truly won it. So you have to wait a few years to see who won it but if it goes bad your suppose to forget about it and move on?

it was bad at the end, but either way, the US can't blow a 2-0 lead with 5 minutes left. they had a few really good chances late with the lead and the canadian goalie made some excellent stops. got a gift post with the EN, and then it all fell apart.

this will haunt them forever. an own goal, a missed EN, bad coverage, penalty trouble...jesus this feels like such a flyers kind of loss.

really a disgrace to end a great game that way

i'm disgusted by that slashing call. nothing wrong with the play there - it wasn't hard or egregiously late, just a player swiping for the puck at the goalie. no need for an even up call when the canadian penalty was legit.

why have 4 on 4 for a 20 minute full period anyway? stupid.

if the lineswoman doesn't get in the way at the blueline late in the 3rd this game ends with a US win.
