Canadians controlled the game for the most part I thought. Sunday should be good! |

Canada is gonna have to be better. The Swedes are the best defensive team in the tourny and have enough guys who can score. |

I'd say "very good", don't have a true workhorse #1 type, but I prefer the strategy to have 3 solid pairings instead of relying one pairing to do all the heavy lifting.
I'd deal Higgins before Hansen. Mainly due to age and Higgins having a great year, his possession stats are also great and a lot of teams that use those would pay up for him.
He has a limited NTC just like Hansen, but I'm guessing he wouldn't be totally against playing for a contending team at this stage of his career. - Nucker101
It is all about the return. Higgins has had a pretty good year and if the return is better than Hansen then by all means especially if it could net a prospect or pick that could turn out to be something.
I would prefer to see one of the four big$ d-men traded for a legit top 6 forward who can contribute right away, but either way this roster needs some new energy and confidence in its core.

If the Americans play inspired I see them winning by multiple goals, if they don't give a poop then I think Finland takes it in a 1-0 or 2-1 type of game. |

I don't know. If we are gonna go young, the Higgins is an ideal player to help the young guys. Age included I'll take Higgins over Hansen. But if somebody comes offering a late 1st then bye bye higgins |

I'm not a Hansen fan. He does hustle but not a great deal of hockey sense and has stone hands. He's a good 3rd line player but Higgins can play 2nd line |

I wonder how many goals we can bounce off of Edler Sunday. |

It is all case by case or trade by trade. We really need more scoring up front. I like what both Hansen and Higgins have brought, they are both good value. Neither is a 2nd liner though (Higgins has looked like he belonged there for some stretches) and if we can pickup a player or pick that could be that top 6 player, I think you have to go for it.
If Higgins or Hansen is worth a 1st round pick, I would make that trade... I would rather make the trade for a player already in another club's system and see where they are at in their development. All case by case.
Guessing most if not all agree that change is needed.

I also said Canada would win.
I just questioned why you were so against the possibility they could lose, when Vancity said you were overly optimistic.
It was a highly contested 1-0 game... |

My point is Higgins can fill in on the 2nd line. He's a 2nd/3rd line tweener. Hansen can't fill in. Given his contract and recent production coupled with a sellers market I see no reason why Higgins isn't worth a 1st. Look what Erat, Gaustad etc got in return |
